Andrés Monnier is a Mexican Artist, born in Guadalajara and now based in Ensenada.
His purpose is to create sculptural pieces to express stories through the synergy between art, design and sculpture. This collection is inspired by Greek Mythology, with natural rock and form at its core. PROMETHEUS WAS A TITAN WHO STOLE THE FIRE FROM THE OLYMPUS TO GIVE IT TO HUMANKIND. THE FIRE CAME WITH POWER, KNOWLEDGE AND INDEPENDENCE. THIS PIECE REPRESENTS THE ORIGIN OF FIRE, WERE IT ALL BEGAN. THE FIRE THAT PROMETHEUS GIFTED TO HUMANS. THE STONE IS A TRIBUTE TO THE ROCK WERE PROMETHEUS WAS PUNISHED BY ZEUS, FORCING HIM TO HOLD THE STOLEN FIRE FOR THE ETERNITY.
