NOR11 is a design company founded in 2011 with a vision to create designer pieces that spark curiosity. Driven by the desire to challenge boundaries and barriers between time periods, design directions, cultures and materials, whilst maintaining comfort. Crafted with genuine materials made to use and built to last. Soft, playful shapes characterise this family of upholstered pieces. Resting on two sturdy wooden legs and seamlessly connecting the seat and back, the Hippo Bar Chair is a bar version of the iconic Hippo Chair. The distinctive wooden profile acts as an almost architectural element that starkly contrasts with the rounded, soft back and seat. The iron footrest provides extra comfort. The Hippo series is influenced by the Hippopotamus drawing upon its barrel-shaped torsos. Available in all standard finishes with custom materials upon request.
