Located in Mexico, Taller Batán specialises in crafting a diverse range of multidisciplinary objects, each possessing a distinctive and expressive aesthetic that narrates a deeply personal story. Taller Batán thrives at the intersection of art, design, and craft, where the boundaries blur and creative possibilities expand. Batán, the birthplace and residence of most of our team, as well as the primary source of our wood, is comprised of two sister localities. Spheres hold a paramount significance in our work, driven by their profound geometric importance and the endless possibilities they embody. These iconic shapes inspire our creative journey, enabling us to continually explore and push the boundaries of design, form, and function. Here, we present a perfect example of what we are truly passionate about and excel in - the integral process of creating our unique pieces. Beginning with the responsible reclamation of wood from the forest, we meticulously select which elements can be repurposed while respecting the natural environment. The wood is then carefully dried for over a year to ensure its stability. Finally, we carve the exquisite forms from a single piece of wood, accentuating its wood grain, colour, and texture. Available in all standard finishes with custom materials and sizing available upon request.
