Born in 1953, Massimo Listri embarked on a photography career at a young age. At 17, he collaborated with art and architecture magazines. While pursuing his Arts and Letters studies in university, he continued contributing photographic services to publications on art, architecture, and interior design. In 1981, he co-founded the renowned magazine FMR with Franco Maria Ricci and Vittorio Sgarbi, which became a platform for his photographic essays on palaces, villas, interior design, and architecture for two decades. Over 30 years, Listri authored 80+ books with prestigious European and American publishers, including titles like "Palaces of Rome" and "Versailles." He exhibited his work globally in solo artist exhibitions, notably at venues such as Palazzo Reale in Milan (2008), The Morgan Library and Museum in New York (2010), and the Vatican Museum in Rome (2014), among many others.
