Batán, the birthplace and residence of most of our team, as well as the primary source of our wood, is comprised of two sister localities. Our homage to Japan: Having lived in the country for over a year, we were profoundly influenced by its philosophy and aesthetics. Taller Batan wouldn't be what it is today without the experiences and knowledge we gained during our time there. This table embodies Japanese techniques such as the wood burning, named yakisugi and Japanese joinery, resulting in a distinctly Japanese aesthetic that invites you to immerse yourself in the tranquil world of Japanese tea rituals, even at home.
