KAIA means both light and shade, uniting opposites to blend creative fusion. In collaboration with European designers, KAIA combines the application of art, construction technique and craftsmanship with the vision to explore things to their very essence. KAIA objects speak their own language: Functional beauty, simplicity, timelessness, purity, elegance often wrought in geometric perfection. Skillfully handcrafted by artisans of a traditional and family-owned Workshop in Germany, the brand pushes boundaries of conventional craftsmanship and design. This unusual pendant light includes two wax candles, no sensor or glass candle, and cannot be upgraded to connect a glass candle. The soulful light of the candle flame has always held a magic that has fascinated people. Inspired by the idea of complementing the romantic light of the candle with the glow of an additional light source, an extraordinary luminaire was created by designer Sebastian Hepting. CandleLight is designed on the basis of a classic candle holder that seems to float weightlessly above the table. In addition to the glow of the candle, a soft spotlight shines downwards out of the luminaire and magically illuminates the table. Available in all standard finishes with custom materials and sizing available upon request.
