THE IDEA WAS INSPIRED BY THE SINGULAR RAMPARTS OF THE LITTLE FORTIFIED TOWN OF LUCCA IN ITALY. IN OTHER WORDS A CONTINUOUS BORDER ON THREE SIDES OF A DESK CONTAINING PHYSICALLY AND AESTHETICALLY EVERYTHING THAT ONE WOULD EXPECT TO FIND IN A WORKING BUREAU.
